The Buje Public Open University and the Tourist Board of Buje are organizing the second painting workshop in the technique of "vinorel," which involves painting with red wine. Just like wine ages in barrels or bottles, wine also changes on paper. You are never completely certain how a piece will look after a few months. The most beautiful characteristic of vinorel is precisely its unpredictability.
Slavica Oplanić was born in 1956 in Umag. She lives and works in Novigrad and Grožnjan. She has participated in numerous group and solo exhibitions in Croatia, Italy, Slovenia, the Czech Republic, and Turkey. She has won numerous awards and recognitions in various art competitions. She has participated in and volunteered for various national and international projects, art colonies, and continues to organize art workshops for children and adults. Her works are often created from imagination and memories, giving everyone the opportunity to see what they want to see. Most of her series have been created through the exploration of chromatic harmonies, using various techniques. She is a longtime member of the art section of the Italian Community of Novigrad, the LUP Parenzo Art Association, and the founder and director of the art association - Atelier "Agata" in Novigrad.
