Live @Jazz Corner - Aldo Fosco Quartet

Live at Jazz Corner is a summer concert cycle intended for true music aficionados, held in the picturesque, highly acoustic ambience of a small, Mediterranean square right by the sea, partly bordered with historic city walls. The legendary Croatian jazz musician, the late Boško Petrović, called it the “Jazz Corner of Istria”, and he loved performing here. The space was posthumously named after this exceptional jazz talent and great friend to the town of Novigrad. Several times throughout the summer months, the Jazz Corner of Istria hosts concerts featuring jazz and other similar genres that fit into the atmosphere of this lively square.

This Friday, August 30th, the Aldo Fosko Quartet will perform, representing a synergy of experienced names from the jazz scenes of Istria and Rijeka. Alongside Fosko on the piano, Robert Mikuljan will join on trumpet and flugelhorn, Luka Veselinović on double bass, and Marco Quarantotto on drums. These musicians are featured on numerous discographic releases, which include their own original projects as well as contributions to notable recordings of regional jazz. The quartet will present original compositions by Aldo Fosko, as well as a selection of recognizable standard repertoire from the renowned "Great American Songbook."
