KINO OKO: Screening of the film "Fiume o morte!"

This weekend, on Saturday, August 30, at 8:30 PM in St. Servulus Square in Buje, don’t miss the screening of Fiume o morte! by Igor Bezinović – the most-watched Croatian documentary film – followed by a talk with the director and wines from the Franković winery.

The film tells the story of the Rijeka occupation in 1919, led by the poet Gabriele D’Annunzio, through a unique blend of archival footage, reconstructions, and imaginative interpretations. It captivated audiences with nearly 30,000 viewers, won the Tiger Award and the FIPRESCI Prize at the Rotterdam Film Festival, and has been presented at more than 35 international festivals.

The Buje screening will be special for its conversation with the director, who will share insights from the filmmaking process and open a dialogue with the audience.
