St. Laurance fest

A festival that involves the whole town, in a combination of religiosity, folklore, traditions and popular participation, all organized by the Community of Italians of Villanova in collaboration with the Municipality and the Tourist Board of Brtonigla.

Saturday begins early in the morning with a recreational walk towards the Scarline Park, to then pass through Grobizze, Brtonigla, Stanzia Druscovich and Pavici, to finally return to the headquarters to have a typical Istrian lunch: "pasta, meat and sauerkraut". In the afternoon the program continue with the traditional soccer tournament "Franco Krastić Memorial" and a recreational program for children and evening music entertainment.

On Sunday a cultural program is organized entirely by the Community of Italians of Villanova, which also celebrates its Day with guests from the other Community of Italians as well.

The event will end with a solemn Holy Mass which will be officiated in the church of San Lorenzo in Pavici, on the day when in the Catholic calendar is celebrated in St., August 11th at 6 pm.
