Funky Town Grožnjan

Grožnjan becomes a new boutique music destination this summer

Set in the unique atmosphere of one of the most beautiful Istrian hill towns, the artists’ town of Grožnjan, a new international boutique festival will bring together the finest sounds of jazz, soul, funk and R&B music this summer.

Visitors can expect a special experience featuring outstanding live performances, authentic gastronomy, local wines, cocktail culture and the unforgettable atmosphere of Grožnjan’s historic streets.

On the festival stage:

DJ Maestro (Amsterdam)
One of the world’s most renowned jazz DJs, creator of the multi-platinum Blue Note compilations and the only musician officially authorized to remix Nina Simone’s iconic album “Little Girl Blue”.

Soul Shadows – Amsterdam Edition
An international soul & funk collective that has shared the stage with major names such as Gregory Porter, Mario Biondi and members of Beyoncé’s band.

Purple Sunset
A musical tribute to the legendary Prince and an evening dedicated to his unique musical legacy.

Listening Events
A new concept inspired by Japanese listening bars, offering a completely different and intimate way to experience music.

Off programme – 20 August

The festival opens one day earlier with an exclusive evening at the restaurant Stara škola with Ana Roš, featuring the Jazz de Ville Listening Session by DJ Maestro.

The festival is organised by CMA Promotions in cooperation with the Tourist Board and Municipality of Grožnjan – Grisignana, with the support of the Croatian Tourist Board, Istria County and the Istria Tourist Board.
