St. Mary of the Snows

Feast Day of St. Mary of the Snows is traditionally celebrated in Šterna, the central event is the Holy Mass in the nearby church, on the hill towards Čepić. The Church of Our Lady of the Snow, as it is popularly known, was built, according to some sources, in 1492. It is located in the parish of Šterna, which belongs to the Grožnjan Municipality, although the territory itself belongs to the Oprtalj Municipality.
