As the organiser of the Chestnut Festival, Oprtalj aims to connect tradition, gastronomy, and the spirit of autumn.
Roasted and boiled chestnuts, honey, brandy, cakes, and pasta are just some of the tempting elements of this event. Restaurants will serve a variety of warm chestnut-based dishes, and visitors can also enjoy exhibitions and lectures on the same theme. A rich entertainment programme awaits both young and old, with music, a raffle, and the opportunity to contribute to a humanitarian cause. The atmosphere will be further enhanced by a brass band performance, while a daytime firework display will add a festive visual touch.
