Brtonigla Celebrates St. Roch with a Rich Program!

The traditional celebration of St. Roch in Brtonigla, as in previous years, is held as a multi-day event featuring a diverse program that includes a rich gastronomic offering, sports activities, and musical performances. Visitors can enjoy performances by some of the most famous names from the Croatian, Italian, and Istrian music scenes, including Gustafi, Jelena Rozga, Elio Pisak, Magazzino Commerciale, and the Radio Company DJ set.
The program begins on August 11th with a team clay pigeon shooting competition organized by "LD Lepus Brtonigla" at the Bužinija shooting range. The sports program continues on August 14th with the "Memorial Sandro Milić and Aldo Paljuh" football match between the veterans of NK Brtonigla 1925 and NK Rijeka, followed by an evening of musical entertainment with Replay Band at Mazzini Square and performances by Gustafi and DJ Kriza at St. Zenon Square.
On August 15th, the traditional Balinjerada takes place at 5:00 PM, followed by a ring race at 7:00 PM. The evening will feature a performance by Elio Pisak and his band Kožne Jakne at Mazzini Square, as well as Magazzino Commerciale, DJ Luca Pacini, and Leo Feltrin at St. Zenon Square.
The main program concludes on August 16th with a procession and Holy Mass, the San Rocco cycling event – XXII Memorial "Slavoj Greblo," and the exhibition "Eternal Treasures: A Journey through the Jewelry of Our Heritage" at the Aleksandar Rukavina Cultural Center. The evening will end with a concert by Jelena Rozga at the main square, a spectacular fireworks display at midnight, and performances by DJ Gogo and Alfa Time Band.
The event wraps up on August 17th with the Memorial Bocce Tournament "Milan Golčić" in Radini and a small football tournament in Brtonigla. Admission to all events is free, thanks to the organizers TZO Brtonigla and the Municipality of Brtonigla-Verteneglio.
