Novigrad Cittanova RUN

Preparations for the 7th Novigrad Cittanova RUN are underway
Registration is now open for the new edition of the Novigrad Cittanova RUN, taking place on Sunday, 1 December. The seventh edition of this traditional Novigrad race is once again bringing together fans of sports, recreation and good time for a 21-kilometre half marathon, a 10-kilometre race and a 5-kilometre race. The race will also include a special FUN RUN for kids: a 200-metre race for children aged 6 to 8 and a 500-metre race for children aged 8 to 10. Registration will be open on the GoAdria website as of Sunday, 17 November, and registration fees can be paid online or on the day of the race.
The youngest participants start first: at 10:30 a.m. in front of the Aminess Maestral Hotel. Adult participants join them soon after, at 11 a.m. The half marathon shares the start line with the 5-kilometre and 10-kilometre races, after which the different races split and continue along the Novigrad promenade, waterfront and old town, followed by the Mareda village, the Aminess Maravea Camping Resort and finally, the Dajla village. From there on, the route circles back. Along this route, you can marvel at the colourful streets of Novigrad and enjoy the stunning view of the sea, olive groves and vineyards. The scenery is what makes the Novigrad race so special, enticing many runners to return year after year.
All participants will again be welcomed by amazing start packages, which include a gift, a start number bib, a finisher’s medal, on-duty medical services, beverages at refreshment stations, as well as lunch and drinks after the race. Of course, top runners in the half marathon and 10-kilometre race categories will receive attractive prizes – namely, first-place finishers will be treated to a two-night stay for two persons with half board at a 3* or 4* Aminess facility, while second-place finishers will get access to the Aminess Maestral Hotel Wellness Centre Spa Zone, and third-place finishers will receive an Aminess gift package. The first-place finishers in the 5-kilometre race will be treated to a lunch for two in the Ventola restaurant at the Aminess Maestral Hotel, while the 2nd and 3rd place prizes are the same as those in the above categories.
Special traffic regulation will be in place on the day of the race, and bike escort will be provided in front of the first group of runners. The race is organised according to the rules of the Croatian Athletics Federation, harmonised with the IAAF rules.
