The last weekend in August is once again reserved for the International Meeting of Accordionists in Zrenj, an event which gathers musicians of all ages from Croatia, Slovenia and Italy.

Meeting point in front of the church in the centre of Zrenj

21:00 – Mauro Staraj & La Banda and DJ Nikola z Kukurini

The accordion is an essential element of traditional Istrian music and cultural identity. Its powerful sound has earned it a leading instrument role and a great companion of lively folk dances such as the waltz and the polka. While it can awaken a whole range of emotions, from sadness and melancholy to immense joy, the accordion certainly leaves no one indifferent.
