Grand Prix in Majorette Sport

This June, Novigrad-Cittanova will host the 11th Grand Prix in Majorette Sport, an international competition bringing together talented majorettes and majorette teams from across Europe. Over two days, the city sports hall will become the stage for impressive choreographies, synchronized performances and high-level sporting displays that combine dance, rhythm, precision and artistic expression.

Visitors can look forward to a diverse programme featuring solo performances, duos, trios and group routines, showcasing the distinctive elements of majorette sport through batons, pom-poms, flags and other stage props. Each performance blends elegance, discipline and creativity, making majorette sport increasingly popular with audiences throughout Europe.

A special highlight for residents and visitors alike will be the international parade of majorette teams accompanied by a brass band, taking place on Friday, 20 June. Starting at 7:30 PM from Mandrač Harbour, the parade will wind its way through the charming streets of Novigrad’s old town, creating a vibrant atmosphere filled with music, colour and movement. Following the parade, the teams will gather at Piazza Grande square, where they will present a series of spectacular choreographed performances and exhibition routines.

Beyond the competition itself, the Grand Prix offers an opportunity for international friendship, cultural exchange and the promotion of sportsmanship among young people. Participants will bring energy, colour and a festive spirit to Novigrad, enriching the start of the summer season.
