The iconic Venetian regatta Transadriatica, a decades-long tradition connecting the two shores of the Adriatic, is set to anchor in the picturesque harbour of Novigrad for its landmark 40th edition, accompanied by a vibrant entertainment programme and delicious food and wine on the town’s main square on June 6th.
As warmer and sunnier days return, numerous sailing crews—some fiercely competitive, others participating purely for the joy and camaraderie—will once again experience the renowned hospitality of the welcoming locals, proving once more why this legendary event continues to captivate and charm.
The regatta will start from the enchanting Venetian Lagoon on 5 June, with the fleet expected to reach Novigrad early in the morning of Friday, 6 June. Participants will remain in Novigrad until Saturday evening, during which time hosts have arranged a delightful programme filled with entertainment and engaging activities. The awards ceremony for the top finishers after the first leg will be held on 7 June in Novigrad, while the grand finale and overall prize presentation will later take place back in Venice.
