Celebration of Our Lady of the Snows in Šterna

The celebration of Our Lady of the Snows in Šterna once again brings a diverse program that combines tradition, sports, culture, music, and social gatherings for all generations.

The celebration begins on 5 August with a Holy Mass at the Church of Our Lady of the Snows, followed by sports tournaments on 7 August. As part of the festivities, the 15th edition of Šumski pjesnici, a traditional gathering held near the Butori Waterfall, will also take place, bringing together poetry and nature lovers.

Saturday, 8 August, is reserved for the second edition of Dolce in fiera, a competition for the best štrukolo. Following the announcement of the winners, visitors can enjoy a performance by the Evergreen vocal group and an evening music program featuring Koktelse and Alfa Time Band.

The celebration concludes on 9 August with a concert by Malvazija Band. Alongside the religious ceremony, sports competitions, cultural events, local specialties, and musical performances, this year’s celebration of Our Lady of the Snows in Šterna offers a rich program and an opportunity for everyone to come together.
