Night of Perseids in Motovun

A Night Under the Stars in Motovun – Welcome the Perseids with Wine, Music and Silence

On Tuesday, 12 August, from 10:00 PM, the garden within Motovun’s historic walls will transform into a special setting for observing the Perseids – one of the most spectacular meteor showers of the year, reaching its peak activity on the night of 12–13 August.

Throughout the night, we will be guided by Jonathan Clark, an astronomy and stargazing enthusiast who lives in Motovun and has an excellent knowledge of the night sky. From 10:30 PM, the atmosphere will be further enriched by a live musical performance by Vlado Kuzman.

For the full experience, the public lighting in this part of Motovun will be switched off. With candlelight, a glass of wine and your eyes turned to the sky, all you need to bring is a blanket, find a comfortable spot and enjoy the silence and the light coming from above.
