On Thursday, 13 August 2026, starting at 7:30 PM, the Pet Kula Gallery in Motovun will host the opening of an exhibition featuring the best photographs submitted to the 10th edition of the ARGONAUT Photography Competition.
This year’s theme was “Circle”, and the competition attracted numerous photographs by authors from Croatia and abroad. The international professional jury, consisting of Sandra Zagolin (EFIAP/g, AFI, BFI, Italy), Zoran Kolarić (EFIAP/b, Croatia), and Irena Gregorc (KMF FZS, AFIAP, Slovenia), selected 50 photographs through several rounds of judging to be presented at this year’s exhibition.
In addition to selecting the photographs for the exhibition, the jury also chose the recipients of three cash prizes and commendations for artistic contribution to the exhibition. The names of the award and commendation recipients will be announced at the official opening on 13 August.
The 50 selected photographs include works by authors from Croatia, Slovenia, Italy and other countries, once again confirming ARGONAUT’s international character and its role in bringing together diverse photographic approaches and artistic perspectives.
The ARGONAUT 2026 exhibition will remain open at the Pet Kula Gallery until 10 September 2026.
The list of all 50 authors whose photographs were selected for this year’s exhibition has been published on the official website of Fotovun Photographers’ Association.
All photography and art enthusiasts are warmly invited to join us for the official opening of the exhibition on Thursday, 13 August, at 7:30 PM at the Pet Kula Gallery in Motovun.
Admission is free.
