European Cheerleading Championships

This summer, Novigrad-Cittanova will host the 28th European Cheerleading Championships, one of the most important international events in this dynamic and exciting sport. At the end of June, 160 teams from 51 cheerleading clubs representing eight European countries will gather in Novigrad to compete, showcase their talents and strive for the prestigious European title.

Talented athletes from Italy, Germany, Spain, the United Kingdom, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Ukraine will compete on 27 and 28 June at the Novigrad Sports Hall, where visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy outstanding performances combining athletic excellence, acrobatics, dance, strength and teamwork. Through energetic routines and spectacular choreography, competitors will demonstrate the precision, creativity and dedication that make cheerleading one of Europe’s fastest-growing sports.

A special highlight of the event will be the Opening Ceremony, which will take place on Friday, 26 June at 8:00 PM on Veliki Trg (Great Square). Set against the charming backdrop of Novigrad’s historic old town, the ceremony will bring together athletes, officials and visitors to celebrate the beginning of this major international sporting event.
