Koncert/Concerto: Cristina D'Avena feat. Gem Boy @UMAG(o)

The long-awaited and desired guest, a dream come true for generations who grew up with her most famous songs, is finally coming to Umag. On July 31, the city will host Cristina D'Avena, the legendary singer of the theme songs of animated films that have captivated Italian television screens for years. Her upcoming performance is the result of successful collaboration between the Narodno sveučilište in Trieste and the City of Umag – Umago, which will once again offer a rich cultural and entertainment program this summer with the support of the Friuli-Venezia Giulia Region (FVG) and in partnership with the Italian Community "Fulvio Tomizza" from Umag.
Born in Bologna on July 6, 1964, Cristina D'Avena is an artist who for 40 years has combined Italian pop music with Japanese anime culture. She began performing at a young age, winning audiences at just 3 years old with the song "Il valzer del moscerino" at the children's festival "Zecchino d'Oro." Growing up in the choir "Antoniano" as a member of the Small Choir until 1976, Cristina D'Avena then captured audiences with the theme songs for Japanese anime. Her performances have marked the history of Italian television and delighted generations of compatriots, as well as many fans in Croatia and Slovenia. Her professional singing career began in 1981 with the song "Bambino Pinocchio," the first in a series of theme songs, and throughout her career, she has sold over 7 million sound recordings.
Cristina D'Avena has gained immense popularity with her performances of anime theme songs, and her contribution to Italian music and pop culture remains indelible.
