Istria 100 by UTMB

Istria 100 by UTMB is ultra trail race taking place in Istria on a territory from Labin (168 km), Buzet (110 km & 67 km), Motovun (42 km) and Grožnjan (21 km) all the way to Umag. This is why is considered as one of the biggest and toughest races of this kind in Croatia. It gathers more than 2000 runners from over than 60 countries all over the world. Races are passing hiking paths of Istria over mountain tops of Učka and Ćićarija, through medieval towns of Istrian inland (Green Istria) and finishing on the west part of peninsula in Umag (Blue Istria). 

Courses combine every aspect of Istria: difficult and technical terrain, little bit of coasteering, old medieval towns, deep forests, city centres, muddy wallies, streams and brooks, canyons and many beautiful panoramas.
Race is part of UTMB World Series which gathers 35 the best trail running races in the world. It was UTMB World Series who decided to put Istria 100 by UTMB in the elites among 26000 different trail races in the world. 

Besides 5 races, event includes sports expo which will be held in sports hall “Marije i Line”. Expo is open for public and has free entry.

Finish line for all races is in Umag, at the main square where. Runners will enter finish line from Saturday morning until Sunday afternoon, continuously. Prize giving ceremony for the best ones will be on Sunday, 13.4.2025. at 13.00 h on the main city square in Umag.
