Park Food Fest

The end of October brings a new autumn edition of Novigrad's much-loved street food festival – Park Food Fest! Get ready for a two-day gourmet adventure under the autumn sky, featuring the rich flavours of Istria, local wines, craft beers, live music and plenty of good vibes.

Mandrač Harbour and Fishermen’s Park will once again become the heart of the festivities – this time with richer, heartier and more aromatic autumn flavours presented by well-known restaurants and hospitality venues from Novigrad: Half 8, Marina & Hotel Nautica, Konoba Nino, Kod Marice, Pelagius Novigrad and Zakaroo by Aminess with its selection of sweet treats. Creative dishes made with fresh, locally sourced seasonal ingredients will be served street food-style, perfect for enjoying on the go as you stroll through the seaside Old Town. The culinary experience will be complemented by distinctive wines from Novigrad winemakers Demark, Ghira, Leonarodo Palčić, Moreno Ivančić and Pervino, alongside Istrian craft beers from Bura Brew, Bruman and Još Jena.

There will also be plenty of music and entertainment for younger visitors. Children's workshops and performances will take place in the safe surroundings of Fishermen’s Park. On Friday, the experienced children's entertainment team Žuti kišobran has prepared a programme called "Naša korta" (Our Courtyard), bringing traditional Istrian life to the younger generation through interactive and visually engaging activities for children and families: traditional games (pljočkanje, pandolo, marbles and others), games and challenges for children and parents, and storytelling featuring local tales and legends with active audience participation. On Saturday, children will be entertained with a creative workshop where they can decorate bags and ties with autumn motifs to take home as souvenirs. Afterwards, parents can join in family competitions inspired by Novigrad's fishing heritage: tic-tac-toe, hit the bucket, relay races and parachute games – fun group activities using a large, colourful play parachute.

The music programme will create the perfect atmosphere for socialising from the start of the festival until the end of a delicious evening. Alongside DJs playing the biggest hits, Molly Band will perform live on Friday, followed by Pop Gunz on Saturday.
