ARTERIA – 17th International Festival of Visual Arts

The 17th edition of the Arteria International Festival of Visual Arts brings the colours, rhythms and contemporary artistic stories of Mexico to Novigrad. Entitled ¡HOLA MEXICO!, this year's festival gathers numerous artists and creates a meeting point between European and Latin American cultures.

Among the stone traces of Novigrad's past at Muzej-Museo Lapidarium, a vibrant world of contemporary art unfolds. Photography, painting, video art, sculpture and textile works come together with performances, workshops, conversations, rituals and participatory events, inviting visitors not only to observe art, but to experience it and become part of it.

Mexico is presented not as a distant or exotic image, but as a living, diverse and powerful culture, connecting past and present, individual experiences and collective memory.

Participating artists include Sonia Siblik, Miguel Valverde, Marco Grajeda, Lalok, Francisco Rubiel, Rubí Juárez, Chespi, Sofía Andretta, Juan Jorge Bautistas, Luxana Lozano, Armando Carrillo, Neivi Martínez, Atoyac Dance Group, Marlen Glavić, Davor Sanvincenti, Ines Borovac, among many others.
