The Golf Club Adriatic is the first
golf course in Istria designed by the famous Austrian architecture duo - Diethard Fahrenleitner and Barbara Eisserer. Within their profession they have been known for their numerous common designer golf projects in Austria, such as Alpe Adria Golf Finkenstein, GC Murau-Kreischberg and GC Attersee-Traunsee golf courses.
It is interesting that, whilst designing this course, they really paid attention to fir it perfectly in the natural surroundings of the hills and valleys by which it perfectly collided in the landscape, making a real small natural park. Their effort has been recognized by their colleagues and for their very first project in
Croatia they won the “Golf Art Landscape” award.
The thing that particularly differs the Savudrija golf course from the others is a clear oversight of holes that represents the challenge to players of all levels. Besides the aforementioned, its advantage is also a beautiful panoramic view extending from the five start positions towards the typical Mediterranean landscape, that is, towards the vineyards, olive groves and the sea which is also described by their names such as Vineyard, Seaview, Olive tree, Romanic Church…
